Activity 3 - The Power of the Media
Do you know that the average person in the UK consumes 9 hours 40 minutes of media every day? The media, unsurprisingly, has a massive influence on what we think and how we behave. Is this good?
In this workshop we will analyse some of the messages the media helps to spread and debate whether the media needs to be thought about differently.
You will then get the opportunity to creatively explore what we have learnt through creating copies of existing media texts and changing one or more elements of an existing media text to create media with a new meaning.
